The Air France logotype is unique. It must be deployed strongly and consistently internally, externally, and throughout the customer journey.
Setup and protection zone
The logotype is isolated by a protection zone defined proportionally to the lettering's height. This protection zone establishes a space in which no disruptive elements should appear (graphics, text, etc).
The distance between the wordmark and the red accent is determined by the stem width of the letters, for example the "I".
Colour
The Air France logotype, in general, should be used in blue with a red accent. However, in certain specific cases it may be used in white with a red accent and in rarer cases completely white. This depends on the color of the background on which it is applied and for the sake of optimal legibility.
- Preferred application and primarily used across digital products
- Application in specific situations on (relatively) dark backgrounds
- Rare application for the sake of legibility
Using a coloured background should be applied carefully and only applies to specific cases. Only apply brand approved colours as a background.
Note: for non digital use cases there are other colour posibilities, for example when needed for monochrome printing or certain printing constraints. These are no part of the Aero design system.
